Abstract

An aircraft propulsion system (20) assembly includes a fan rotor (44), an inner flowpath (40), an outer flowpath (42) and an inter-flowpath structure (122). The fan rotor (44) includes a plurality of fan blades (48) arranged circumferentially about an axis (26). The outer flowpath (42) includes an outer flowpath inlet (94) downstream of the fan rotor (44). The outer flowpath inlet (94) is radially outboard of an inner flowpath inlet (90). The inter-flowpath structure (122) is disposed radially between and partially forms the inner flowpath inlet (90) and the outer flowpath inlet (94). The inter-flowpath structure (122) includes a splitter (128) and an actuator (142). The splitter (128) forms a leading edge (134) of the inter-flowpath structure (122). The actuator (142) is configured to translate the splitter (128) axially along the axis (26) between a first position and a second position.
