Abstract

A near-eye display system (1) and AR glasses (3). The near-eye display system (1) comprises an optical waveguide module (10), an optical engine module (20), and a metalens assembly (22). A first coupling-in grating region (111) and a first coupling-out grating region (112) are formed in the optical waveguide module (10). The optical engine module (20) comprises a light source assembly (21) disposed opposite the first coupling-in grating region (111), and the metalens assembly (22) disposed between the light source assembly (21) and the optical waveguide module (10), wherein the light source assembly (21) is used for outputting an image optical signal to the metalens assembly (22). The metalens assembly (22) comprises a substrate (221) and a metasurface structure (222) on the substrate (221), the metasurface structure (222) configured to receive the image optical signal and diffract the optical signal to the first coupling-in grating region (111).
