Abstract
Some embodiments of a method may include: receiving a bitstream associated with a haptic signal; decoding the bitstream, wherein the decoded bitstream comprises properties used to support haptic spatialization and further comprises a list of haptic mediums at a file level, a list of haptic sources at the file level, and a list of haptic listeners at the file level; and generating the haptic signal using the decoded bitstream.
