Abstract

A secondary battery including an electrode assembly including a lead tab, a body portion including an accommodating portion, a first terminal through-hole formed on one side of the body portion, and having an open end, a cover sealing the open end of the body portion, an insulator disposed on a lower surface of the one side of the body portion and including a second terminal through-hole formed at a position corresponding to the first terminal through-hole, a terminal plate having two sides, being disposed on a lower surface of the insulator, and having a third terminal through-hole formed at a position corresponding to the second terminal through-hole, a terminal passing through the first to third terminal through-holes, and a gasket surrounding at least a portion of a side surface of the terminal such that at least a portion of the terminal is exposed to an outside of the body portion.
