Abstract

The present application relates to the field of batteries, and provides a method for manufacturing a shell body, a shell body, a battery cell, a battery, and an electric device. The method for manufacturing the shell body includes: providing a material plate; and processing the material plate to form a shell body. The shell body is provided with a pressure relief groove, and the shell body is capable of cracking along at least part of the pressure relief groove during pressure relief to release pressure inside the shell body. The shell body manufactured by the method for manufacturing the shell body is provided with the pressure relief groove, and when the internal pressure or temperature of the shell body reaches a burst pressure, the shell body is capable of cracking along at least part of the pressure relief groove, thereby releasing pressure inside the shell body. In the method for manufacturing the shell body, the pressure relief groove is directly formed on the shell body without welding, thereby avoiding liquid leakage caused by welding defects, and improving the service life of the battery cell.
