Abstract
A method of decoding one or more pictures which are encoded using one or more picture components is described. The method includes determining, from a list of output picture component sets, at least one target output picture component set for a picture to be decoded, wherein the output picture component sets contain different combinations of the picture components of the picture, and decoding encoded data belonging to the at least one target output component set.
