Abstract
A method of coding one or more pictures composed of a plurality of picture components is disclosed. The method includes generating a coded picture which is composed of a plurality of data units including coded picture components of the picture. The plurality of picture components of the picture are coded for obtaining the coded picture components, and the plurality of coded picture components are stored into the plurality of data units such that at least one of the plurality of data units contains a subset of the plurality of coded picture components.
