Abstract

Provided are a medical support device (11), a medical support method, and a medical support program that can improve general-purpose properties in a case of estimating a position and an orientation of a medical instrument. A medical support device (11) includes a processor (41), in which the processor (41) is configured to acquire, at a first time point (t1), a surgical field image (21) obtained by imaging, with a camera, a surgical field including a first medical instrument to which a marker is assigned, identify, based on the marker included in the surgical field image (21), first position and orientation information indicating a position and an orientation of the first medical instrument, the first position and orientation information being information at the first time point (t1), acquire second position and orientation information indicating a position and an orientation of a second medical instrument connected to the first medical instrument, the second position and orientation information being information at the first time point (t1) and a second time point (t2), derive a relative positional relationship between the first medical instrument and the second medical instrument based on the first position and orientation information and the second position and orientation information at the first time point (t1), and estimate the first position and orientation information at the second time point (t2) based on the relative positional relationship and the second position and orientation information at the second time point (t2).
