Abstract

A function of an air discharge section is sufficiently ensured while discharge of yarn wastes from an air discharge section to the external space is suppressed. A yarn waste collection device 1 has a yarn waste transfer pipe 11, a yarn waste collector 13, and a cyclone separator 30 provided between the yarn waste transfer pipe 11 and the yarn waste collector 13. The cyclone separator 30 includes a separation section 32, a yarn waste discharge part 34d, an air discharge section 50 having an air discharge port 55, a regulator 52 which is provided to cover the air discharge port 55 in order to restrict movement of a yarn waste Yw to the external space. The regulator 52 is a porous plate member. The thickness direction of the regulator 52 is the same direction as the axial direction of the cylindrical separation section 32. The aperture area of one or more hole 56 formed in the regulator 52 is larger than the cross-sectional area of the yarn waste Yw. The thickness T (mm) of the regulator 52 is equal to or more than 5 mm and is equal to or less than 100 mm.
