Abstract

A root barrier membrane comprises:a) an upper layer (1) based on a first bitumen composition comprising, based on the total weight of the first bitumen composition:- at least 35 wt.%, especially at least 50 wt.%, of bitumen and- at least 5 wt.% of an amorphous polyolefin (APO);b) a lower layer (2), based on a second bitumen composition comprising, based on the total weight of the second bitumen composition:- at least 35 wt.%, especially at least 50 wt.%, of bitumen,- at least 1 wt.% of at least one styrene block copolymer,- a root inhibition agent;whereby the first composition of the upper layer (1) is different from the second composition of the lower layer (2)
