Abstract

A drive waveform generator and a method of manufacturing a display device with a color conversion layer are provided. The drive waveform generator includes a drive waveform generation unit configured to generate a drive waveform including a plurality of driving pulses to be applied to a liquid discharge head. The plurality of driving pulses include a discharge pulse to cause a liquid to be discharged, for liquid discharge of a first drop, and a combination of the discharge pulse and an excitation pulse not to cause the liquid to be discharged before the discharge pulse, for liquid discharge of a second drop. A landing position of the second drop is different from a landing position of the first drop. The method includes forming the color conversion layer by a liquid discharged from the liquid discharge head, and applying the drive waveform to the liquid discharge head.
