Abstract

An object of the present invention is to effectively suppress discharge sound of air discharged from a cyclone separator.A discharge sound suppressor 60 is provided to suppress discharge sound of air discharged from an air discharge unit 50 of a cyclone separator 30 configured to separate fiber waste from air and to discharge (i) the separated fiber waste into a fiber waste recovery container and (ii) the air separated from the fiber waste from the air discharge unit 50. The discharge sound suppressor 60 includes a main body portion 64 which is substantially cylindrical in shape and in which a passage space Sf is formed to extend from one end portion to the other end portion of the main body portion 64 in a flow direction, and one end portion of the main body portion 64 is connected to the air discharge unit 50. In the main body portion 64, stagnation spaces Ss are formed outside of the passage space Sf in a direction orthogonal to the flow direction, aligned in the flow direction, and have at least two stagnation spaces Ss with different capacities.
