Abstract
The invention concerns a process for the production of a synthetic natural gas (SNG) from biomass. Biomass is indirectly gasified and the product gas comprising higher alkanes, alkenes and/or alkynes is subjected to hydrogenation, a water gas shift reaction and isothermal methanation. The invention furthermore concerns a system for the production of a synthetic natural gas.
