Abstract

The invention relates to an actuating drive, in particular for a sliding door of a motor vehicle, comprising a housing, a motor, a gear wheel (9) with a toothed disc (9f) driven by the motor to rotate about a drive axis (D) and having a first bearing sleeve (9d), and at least one first cable drum (13) mounted on the first bearing sleeve (9d) for guiding a first traction element (14). To provide an actuating drive that allows a sliding door to be adjusted manually in a reliable manner and that is also functional when subjected to major external forces, the cable drum (13) and the gear wheel (9) are coupled to one another via a first ratchet gear (44), wherein the first ratchet gear (44) is adapted to drive the first cable drum (13) upon rotation of the gear wheel (9) about the drive axis (D) in the winding direction of the first cable drum (13) and to allow the first cable drum (13) to rotate about the driving axis (D) in the unwinding direction relative to the gear wheel (9).
