Abstract

A hydraulic actuator (1) for a dog clutch (100) comprising a housing (3) extending along a reference axis (B) and defining at least one closed inner volume (4), a rod (12) extending along the reference axis (B), engaging in a slidable manner the housing (3), and configured to be operatively connected the actuation member (160) of the dog clutch assembly (100), a first piston (14) cooperating in a fluid tight and slidable manner with the housing (3) and configured to define a first variable volume chamber (16), a second piston (16) housed the housing (3) and configured to define a second variable volume chamber (16), a septum fluidly separating the first chamber (16) from the second chamber (20). The first piston (14) and the second piston (16) are slidably carried by the rod (12) and configured to push the rod (12) in two opposite directions.
