Abstract

In a case where a plurality of types of liquids are dispensed at the same time, it is possible to detect an abnormality at the time of dispensing a liquid to be subjected to abnormality detection with high accuracy by minimizing a liquid film, a liquid residue, or the like generated at the time of aspirating a liquid to be aspirated before a liquid to be subjected to abnormality detection. An automatic analyzer includes a container that contains a fluid, a pressure source, a probe that dispenses a fluid in the container, and a flow path that connects the probe and the pressure source. The automatic analyzer has a plurality of levels of an aspiration speed at which air is aspirated when the air is aspirated into the probe or when the air is aspirated into a tip attached to a tip end of the probe, and the levels are selectively used according to at least one of a type of the fluid or an aspiration volume of the air.
