Abstract

A computer-implemented-method of monitoring a fruit crop, the method comprising: receiving first image data corresponding to a first image of a fruit plant, wherein the first image data comprises: one or more first fruit cluster datasets representing one or more respective fruit clusters visible in the first image; and a first location identifier associated with the first image; receiving reference image data corresponding to one or more reference images of the fruit plant captured at an earlier time than the first image, wherein the reference image data comprises: one or more reference fruit cluster datasets representing one or more respective fruit clusters visible in the one or more reference images; and a reference location identifier associated with the reference image, wherein the reference location identifier matches the first location identifier; processing the first image data and the reference image data to identify one or more occluded fruit clusters in the first image data; applying an occluded fruit cluster adjustment to the one or more occluded fruit clusters to obtain compensated first image data; and outputting the compensated first image data.
