Abstract

This application discloses a communication method, apparatus, and system, and pertains to the field of communication technologies. The method is performed by a first network device in a first DC. The method includes: obtaining a node identifier of a first access device in the first DC; and sending the node identifier of the first access device, first link bandwidth indication information, and first interface mapping information to a second network device in a second DC, where the first link bandwidth indication information indicates a total bandwidth of all normal links that are used to transmit traffic and that are between the first network device and the first access device, and the first interface mapping information indicates a mapping relationship between at least one network-side interface and at least one access-side interface in the first network device. In this way, when determining a first transmission link for forwarding traffic to the first access device, the second network device can ensure that a total bandwidth of the first transmission link is not greater than the total bandwidth of the normal links between the first access device and the first network device, to avoid traffic congestion in the first DC.
