Abstract

A signal processor comprising an array of nano-units, each having at least two possible electronic states, the array having at least one nano-unit located at an input position and at least one nano-unit located at an output position, wherein in the array nano-units are arranged adjacently at a spacing and/or optionally at relative orientations set up for transfer of excitons from the input position to the output position, an input device arranged to energize the nano-units located at at least one input position of the array of nano-units, a detector set up to detect excitons emanating at the output position of the array and/or the state of excitation of nano-units located at the output position of the array.
