Abstract

This inhalation device (100) comprises: a power source unit (111); an accommodating portion (140) which accommodates a portion of a stick-type substrate (150) inserted through an opening (142); a heating unit (121) which heats the portion of the stick-type substrate (150) accommodated in the accommodating portion (140) by being supplied with power from the power source unit (111); and a control unit (116) configured to be capable of controlling the power supply from the power source unit (111) to the heating unit (121), and to be capable of acquiring a parameter relating to a temperature of the heating unit (121). The stick-type substrate (150) is provided on one side with a substrate portion (151) and on the other side with a mouthpiece portion (152). The control unit (116) determines whether that which is accommodated in the accommodating portion (140) is the substrate portion (151) or the mouthpiece portion (152) on the basis of the parameter when supplying prescribed power to the heating unit (121), and controls the power supply to the heating unit (121) after the supply of the prescribed power on the basis of the determination result.
