Abstract

There is provided a computer-implemented method of providing user guidance for a skin treatment device to perform skin treatment. The computer-implemented method comprises: establishing a connection between the skin treatment device and a processing device performing the computer-implemented method; determining a start of a treatment with the skin treatment device at a first point of time; determining the connection is interrupted after the first point of time; re-establishing the connection; determining whether a time period between the first point of time and a second point of time exceeds a threshold, wherein the second point of time is when the connection has been re-established; in case the time period does not exceed the threshold, receiving use data from the skin treatment device, and adapting the user guidance based on the use data; in case the time period exceeds the threshold, not adapting the user guidance based on the use data, wherein the use data is representative of one or more skin treatment sessions performed with the skin treatment device during the time period; generating a guidance signal representative of the user guidance.
