Abstract

DAC apparatus (100) configured to recover CO<2> in atmosphere, includes: adsorption-chamber (1) provided with adsorbent for adsorbing or absorbing CO<2>; atmospheric-control-valve (1a,1b) configured to open adsorption-chamber to atmosphere or to seal adsorption-chamber from atmosphere; vacuum-piping (4) connecting adsorption-chamber with vacuum-pump (5); vacuum-control-valve (4a) provided on vacuum-piping; heating-device (7) configured to heat adsorbent; and controller (10) configured to control atmospheric-control-valve, vacuum-control-valve, and heating-device to alternately perform adsorption-step and desorption-step, adsorption-step opening adsorption-chamber to atmosphere, prohibiting flow of gas to vacuum-piping, and adsorbing CO<2> in atmosphere to adsorbent, desorption-step sealing adsorption-chamber, permitting flow of gas to vacuum-piping, and heating adsorbent to desorb CO<2> from adsorbent. Supply-piping (9) to which CO<2> is supplied is further connected with adsorption-chamber. Supply-control-valve (9a) is provided on Supply-piping. Controller further controls Supply-control-valve to supply adsorption-chamber with CO<2> in desorption-step.
