Abstract
Disclosed is a slit nozzle for paste deposition, comprising a nozzle head with a slotted cavity and an aperture for delivering paste to a substrate. The sidewalls of the slotted cavity are provided by a first and second plate, and a shim plate is clamped between the first and second plate for defining a volume of the slotted cavity. A clamping arrangement has a first and second clamp that are in planar engagement with the first and second plate on opposing exterior sides of the nozzle head, and that are preloaded towards each other for thereby clamping the stacked first plate, second plate, and shim plate against each other. The first and second clamp comprise one or more bending reinforcement elements that reinforce an out-of-plane bending stiffness of the first and second plate.
