Abstract

A robot includes a base having a housing, a first arm configured to rotate about a first axis with respect to the base, a second arm configured to rotate about a second axis with respect to the first arm, a first motor provided in the housing and configured to generate power for rotating the first arm with respect to the base, a speed reducer provided in the housing and configured to reduce a rotational speed of the first motor, and a second motor configured to generate power for rotating the second arm with respect to the first arm, in which the housing includes a bottom plate portion provided with a first through hole, part of the speed reducer is disposed in the first through hole, and the first arm includes a first arm base that extends in a direction orthogonal to the first axis, and an accommodating portion that protrudes downward from the first arm base, accommodates the second motor, and is spaced apart from the second arm.
