Abstract

Described is an edge banding machine for covering a panel (P) by means of an edge band (N), comprising a support plane (S), for supporting the panel (P); a gluing unit (100), movable relative to the panel (P) and configured to glue a first portion (N11) of the edge band (N) to the panel (P); and a bending unit (200), movable relative to the panel (P) and configured to glue a second portion (N12) of the edge band (N) to the panel (P); wherein the bending unit (200) comprises an activation device (210), configured to activate an adhesive layer of the second portion (N12) of the edge band (N); a treatment device (220), having one or more treatment parameters and configured to thermally treat the edge band (N); and one or more pads (230), configured to bend and press the second portion (N12) of the edge band (N) against the panel (P); and wherein the edge banding machine comprises a control unit connected to the treatment device (220) and configured to automatically modify at least one parameter of the treatment parameters of the treatment device (220) as a function of one or more technical features of the edge band (N) and/or of the panel (P) to be covered.
