Abstract

The invention relates to a process for recycling cartridges (22) of plastic comprising at least one silicone formulation, wherein the cartridges (22) have a tube body which is open at one end, is closed at the other end by a lid (30) with a threaded nozzle (54) for a nozzle (24) and a piercable inner opening, and in which a piston (36) is arranged in a movable manner, by which processa) the cartridges (22) are preferably first aligned in such a way that they are pressed and fixed with their threaded nozzle (54) to a ring stop (68) which freely encompasses the threaded nozzle (54);b) the tip of the cartridge, preferably immediately behind the lid (30), is cut off;c) the piston (36) is pushed out of the tube sleeve (32) with an ejection tool in the direction of the lid (30);d) optionally, the silicone formulation is separated from the inner wall of the tube sleeve (32) and/or from the lid (30) cut off and separately collected;e) the at least one silicone formulation is depolymerized by reacting the silicone formulation with(B)at least one base catalyst, preferably at least one metal hydroxide,(C)at least one alcohol and(D)waterat a temperature of >50°C, preferably >60°C, more preferably >70°C, even more preferably >75°C, most preferably >80°C.
