Abstract

Provided is an air treatment device (100) that includes an air displacement assembly (102), and an air purification unit (118) for purifying air displaced by the air displacement assembly. The air purified by the air purification unit flows away from the air purification unit along a flow path (124). The air treatment device has a tank (126) for holding water, with the tank being arranged beneath the air purification unit when the air treatment device is orientated for use. A wick (128) has a first portion (130) disposed in the tank, and a second portion (132) arranged in the flow path to enable the water reaching the second portion to humidify the air purified by the air purification unit. The wick is configured to transport the water, absorbed at the first portion, along the wick by capillary action to reach the second portion.
