Abstract

This application provides a cascaded heat pump system (100) including a first heat pump circuit and a second heat pump circuit, in which the first heat pump circuit includes a first compressor (102), a first four-way valve (103), a second four-way valve (104), an intermediate heat exchanger primary side (1051), a first expansion valve (106), and a first heat exchanger (107). The second heat pump circuit includes a second compressor (108), an external medium heat exchanger (109), a second expansion valve (110), and an intermediate heat exchanger secondary side (1052). A first four-way valve first valve port (1032) communicates with a second four-way valve inlet valve port (1041), and a second four-way valve first valve port (1042) communicates with the intermediate heat exchanger primary side (1051). Operation modes of the cascaded heat pump system (100) can be flexibly switched, thereby solving a problem that switching of working conditions of the cascaded heat pump system (100) is complex and a temperature is output unstably during the switching.
