Abstract

A system includes an air conditioning system (502) including: a first unit (200) having a compressor (242) and a first heat exchanger (508); a second unit (250) having a second heat exchanger (514); the air conditioning system (502) configured to circulate a refrigerant between the first unit (200) and the second unit (250); an energy storage device (240) configured to power the compressor (242); a controller (220); and a thermal management system (600) having a third heat exchanger (602), the third heat exchanger (602) configured to receive refrigerant from the air conditioning system (502) in certain modes of operation; the thermal management system (600) configured to supply fluid to the energy storage device to provide one of heating and cooling of the energy storage device.
