Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method (100) for optimizing an industrial automation process, the method comprising:- obtaining system data of a knowledge database (20), wherein the system data is indicative of a configuration parameter of an automation system;- generating configuration data using a Robot Process Automation (RPA) unit (30), wherein the configuration data is generated based on the obtained system data;- validating the generated configuration data in a simulation or test environment (32);- in a case of discrepancies or errors, providing the configuration data for processing to an Al processing component (40), or to an expert interface (50);- receiving modified configuration data from the processing by the Al processing component (40), or to the expert interface (50); and- providing these modified configuration data made by the Al processing component (40), or the expert interface (50) to the knowledge database:
