Abstract

A method for controlling speed of a mining vehicle may comprise: determining a route for the mining vehicle; determining a first speed for the mining vehicle for travelling on the route for a first time; monitoring at least one operational parameter of the mining vehicle with respect to at least one tolerance criterion, when travelling on the route for the first time; and determining, based on the monitoring of the at least one operational parameter with respect to the at least one tolerance criterion during the travelling on the route for the first time, a second speed for the mining vehicle for travelling on the route for a second time.
