Abstract

A separable electrical connector (21), comprising a casing (32) comprising a first chamber (23) and a second chamber (24), and an internal electrode (30) wrapped by an insulating material (33) and arranged to receive a cable lug (46) comprising a connecting portion (48) intended to be connected to at least one interface in the first chamber and a receiving portion (47) into which the end of the cable is positioned, the internal electrode being arranged so that when the cable lug is positioned in the internal electrode after the end of the cable has been forcibly inserted into the connector, part of the connecting portion and the entire receiving portion of the cable lug are located in the second chamber so that tensions generated in the insulating material by the forced insertion are concentrated in the second chamber (24).
