Abstract

An ad hoc radio base station, a method, and a computer program are presented. The base station is configured to set up (400) an ad hoc cell; set up a radio connection (402) with a terminal device in the cell; transmit (900) to the terminal device a message, the message comprising a tracking area code and initiating a timer; upon expiration of the timer, transmit (902) to the terminal device a subsequent message comprising a tracking area code, and reinitiate the timer; repeating the transmission upon each expiration of the timer. The tracking area code used in the transmitted messages changes after a predetermined number of consecutive transmissions, the predetermined number being at least one.
