Abstract

A power supply unit for an inhalation device which generates an aerosol from an aerosol source comprises: a positive terminal (90a), a negative terminal (90b) and a temperature terminal (90c), which are examples of a connecting portion, to which is connected a power source unit (111) capable of storing power and configured to be removable from the power supply unit; and a control unit (116) which, when the power source unit (111) connected to said terminals has been replaced, implements a predetermined operating check and controls operation of the power supply unit based on a result of the operating check. In the operating check, the control unit (116) acquires information relating to a temperature of the power source unit (111) after replacement, and determines whether or not the temperature of the power source unit (111) after replacement meets a predetermined condition, based on this information.
