Abstract

The present invention relates to a core body temperature estimation device, a core body temperature estimation system and a core body temperature estimation method for estimating a user's core body temperature and to a sensor device for measuring optical and thermal features of a user's skin- and/or subcutaneous tissue. The core body temperature estimation, CBT, device for estimating a user's CBT comprises an input unit configured to obtain first temperature data comprising information about a skin- and/or subcutaneous tissue temperature of the user, second temperature data comprising information about a second temperature, and optical data comprising information about an optical transmission and/or absorption of the user's skin- and/or subcutaneous tissue; a processing unit configured to estimate a thickness of the user's skin- and/or subcutaneous tissue based on the optical data and to estimate the user's CBT based on the first temperature data, the second temperature data and the estimated thickness, and an output unit configured to provide CBT information comprising information about the estimated CBT.
