Abstract
A resist underlayer film-forming composition including a resin (A) having a ring structure and a polymerizable multiple-bond group and a solvent, wherein the ring structure is one or more selected from the group consisting of an aromatic ring having 6 to 26 carbon atoms and a non-aromatic ring having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and the polymerizable multiple-bond group has one or more selected from the group consisting of a carbon-carbon double bond, a carbon-carbon triple bond, a carbon-nitrogen double bond, and a carbon-nitrogen triple bond.
