Abstract

The invention provides a method for analyzing an industrial system configuration and/or industrial process by analyzing graphical engineering data representing the industrial system and/or industrial process, the method comprising inputting graphical engineering data representing an industrial system and/or industrial process into an Al module, the engineering data comprising graphical elements representing components of the industrial system and/or process-related attributes of components of the industrial system; processing, by means of the Al module, the graphical engineering data, the processing comprising the Al module detecting one or more components and/or process-related attributes represented by the graphical elements comprised in the engineering data; providing the detected components and/or detected process-related attributes to a verification module; accessing, by the verification module, a reference dataset, the reference dataset comprising character-based data representative of candidate components and/or candidate process-related attributes; and verifying, by the verification module, the detected components and/or process-related attributes based on the candidate components and/or candidate process-related attributes.
