Abstract

Example implementations include an addressable device (100) that is removably mountable onto a base unit (104) in a system (10). The removable addressing device (106) comprises at least one memory (122) storing one or more addresses for the addressable device in the system. When a device head (102) and the removable addressing device (106) are mounted onto the base unit (104), the device head is electrically connected with the removable addressing device and is configured to read the one or more addresses stored on the at least one memory of the removable addressing device.
