Abstract

Techniques and methods are described to perform resource allocation for wireless links within a first and/or second frequency band, which are non-overlapping. By transmitting a signal within the first frequency band, channel information related to a channel between a scheduling device and one or more scatterers is obtained, based on receive signals that correspond to reflections of said signal on the one or more scattterers. Based on the receive signals, each of the scatterers is classified into a scatterer type supporting one of sensing-only, communication-only, or sensing-communication-shared types. Depending on the scatterer type, resources for one or more wireless links between the scheduling device and the scatterers are allocated, with each wireless link is allocated resources within the first frequency band, the second frequency band, or both the first frequency band and the second frequency band.
