Abstract

An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for switching from a Basic Service Set (BSS) primary channel to a Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) primary channel for communicating with an Access Point (AP); and in response to at least one condition for switching back to the BSS primary channel being satisfied, switching from the NPCA primary channel to the BSS primary channel for communicating with the AP. Additionally, an apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for switching from a BSS primary channel to an NPCA primary channel, the NPCA primary channel associated with a mode of operation in which untriggered uplink (UL) transmission is not enabled; and receiving, from the AP via the NPCA primary channel, an initial control frame (ICF) comprising a field indicating an NPCA duration that defines a minimum duration until switching from the NPCA primary channel to the BSS primary channel must occur.
