Abstract

An electrode with improved heat dissipation for a plasma torch extends along a longitudinal axis (X) thereof and comprises a proximal portion (3), having a proximal end (5) assigned for electrical connection to an electrical power source for the torch, a a distal portion (7) integral with the proximal portion (3) and a plurality of parallel fins (9), protruding transversely from the proximal portion (3) and spaced by respective grooves (10). Each fin (9) has at least one passage (11) which puts the grooves (10) adjacent to it in fluid communication, where the passages (11) of a fin (9) are staggered with respect to the passages (11) of the fins (9) adjacent to it.
