Abstract
A flat flexible cable (10) is provided for interconnecting electrical components. There is a cable body (12) including a plurality of signal conductors (14) a tab conductor (16) spaced apart from the plurality of signal conductors (14), and an insulation layer (18) over the plurality of signal conductors (14) and the tab conductor (18). Also provided is a plurality of bridge conductors (26) on the insulation layer (18), each of the plurality bridge conductors (26) being in electrical communication with the tab conductor (18) through the insulation layer (18) and in electrical communication with a signal conductor (14) of the plurality of signal conductors (14) through the insulation layer (18). An electrical connector formed from such a flat flexible cable (10) is also provided.
