This invention is related to a multi-scale image processing algorithm for enhancing contrast to noise ratio in an electronic representation of an image represented by a) decomposing said digital image into a set of detail images at multiple resolution levels and a residual image at a resolution level lower than said multiple resolution levels, b) processing said detail images, c) computing a processed image by applying a reconstruction algorithm to the residual image and the processed detail images, said reconstruction algorithm being such that if it were applied to the residual image and the detail images without processing, then said digital image or a close approximation thereof would be obtained. The processing comprises the steps of: d) calculating a local variance value for at least one detail image pixel within a neighbourhood of said detail image pixel; e) enhancing or suppressing at least one detail image pixel as a function of said local variance value and said detail image pixel value. |

A method for manufacturing decorative surfaces including the steps of inkjet printing an image on a first thermoplastic foil by jetting and curing one or more pigmented free radical curable inkjet inks on the first thermoplastic foil; applying and curing a free radical curable liquid as an adhesive layer on the inkjet printed image; and heat pressing the first thermoplastic foil with a second thermoplastic foil into a decorative laminate; wherein at least one of the first and second thermoplastic foils is a transparent thermoplastic foil; wherein the one or more pigmented free radical curable inkjet inks include a colour pigment and a polymerizable composition containing 10 to 90 wt% of one or more monofunctional polymerizable compounds; and wherein the free radical curable liquid includes a polymerizable composition contains 15 wt% or more of polyfunctional polymerizable compounds and 15 wt% or more of a specific monofunctional polymerizable compound. |

The present invention relates to a method to improve a radiography workflow, wherein multiple images are ordered to be performed. The ordered images may be part of different series and are presented to an operator for execution by means of a displayed order list. The method intends to improve the radiography workflow by means of automatically determining which of the ordered images is to be executed by the technologist, immediately after the acquisition of any of said images is performed. A trained neural network detects which of the ordered images will be taken based on the analysis of a reference image that is acquired alongside the radiograph, and that is acquired from the same perspective as the X-ray beam itself. |
