The present invention relates to a frame for a decanter centrifuge. The frame comprising two elongated box-shaped beams extending parallel relative to each other between a first end and a second end. Each box-shaped beam comprising at least two ground supports at a third position at a fourth position, respectively. The third position being located adjacent the first end and the fourth position being located adjacent the second end. Each box-shaped beam further comprising a C-shaped beam defining two horizontal flanges and a vertical web interconnecting the two horizonal flanges and a vertical plate interconnecting the two horizontal flanges opposite the vertical web. The reinforcement plates extending in the longitudinal direction between a third end and a fourth end. The third end and the fourth end being located between the first end and the second end.

The present invention relates to a circular base for a decanter centrifuge. The base accommodated at one longitudinal end of a rotatable bowl of the decanter centrifuge. The base defining an inner surface configured to face an inner space of the bowl, a radial direction extending outwardly from a centre point of the base and a longitudinal direction extending perpendicular to the radial direction. The base defining a first outlet passage extending through the base and a first outlet housing provided at the inner surface and protruding away in the longitudinal direction. The first outlet housing having a first outlet opening for receiving a light phase from the inner space. The first outlet opening comprising a first weir edge defining in normal use a level of a surface of the light phase in the inner space. The first outlet housing is rotatable around a first adjustment axis.

A valve control device (1) for controlling operation of a valve actuator (2) configured to be connected to a valve member (3). The valve control device (1) being configured to be removably mounted on the valve actuator (2) and comprises: a position sensor (4) for detecting actuating position of the valve actuator (2) and outputting the detected position as a feedback signal; a memory device (7) for storing position data reflecting the feedback signal from the position sensor (4) at at least one actuating position of the valve actuator (2); and an electronic control unit (6) for controlling operation of the valve actuator (2) using the feedback signal from the position sensor (4) and the position data from the memory device (7); wherein the electronic control unit (6) is configured for automatically performing a reset of the position data of the memory device (7) as a result of the valve control device (1) becoming separated from, and/or assembled on, the valve actuator (2).

The present invention provides a method (100) of operating a centrifugal separator (1). The centrifugal separator (1) comprises a centrifuge bowl (10) arranged to rotate around an axis of rotation (X) and in which the separation of a liquid mixture takes place and a drive member (4) configured to rotate the centrifuge bowl (10) around the axis of rotation (X) at a rotational speed. The centrifuge bowl (10) further comprises an inlet (11) for receiving the liquid mixture to be separated, at least one liquid outlet (12) for discharging a separated liquid phase and at least one sludge (14) outlet for discharging a separated sludge phase. The centrifugal separator (1) further comprises an intermittent discharge system (30) for intermittently opening and closing the at least one sludge outlet (14). The method (100) comprises the steps of a) rotating (101) the centrifuge bowl (10) at a first rotational speed S1; b) increasing (102) the rotational speed of the centrifuge bowl (10) to a second rotational speed S2 that is higher than said first rotational speed S1, and c) opening (103) the at least one sludge outlet (14) to discharge contents within the centrifuge bowl (10) during rotation at said second rotational speed S2.

The present invention relates to a method of recovering a concentrated plant-based protein suspension, which comprises providing a plant-based protein suspension comprising suspended particles and providing a high-speed centrifugal separator (2) which comprises a frame (23), a drive member (29) and a centrifuge bowl (20). The drive member is configured to rotate the centrifuge bowl in relation to the frame around an axis of rotation. The centrifuge bowl encloses a separation space comprising a stack of separation discs, and comprises an inlet (8) for receiving the plant-based protein suspension, a liquid light phase outlet (4) for a separated liquid light phase and a liquid heavy phase outlet (3) for a separated liquid heavy phase. The liquid heavy phase outlet and/or light phase outlet is arranged in fluid connection with a liquid flow influencing means (6, 12). The method further comprises feeding the plant-based protein suspension to the inlet of the high-speed centrifugal separator, separating the plant-based protein suspension into a liquid light phase and a liquid heavy phase, which comprises the concentrated protein suspension. The method comprises removing the concentrated plant-based protein suspension as the liquid heavy phase through the heavy phase outlet by influencing the discharge flow by means of the liquid flow influencing means.

The present invention relates to a method of producing a low-fat product from a starting material made of a fat and/or oil containing plant- or animal item. The method comprising the steps of providing the starting material at a temperature of at least 35°C and extracting a greater part of the extractable oil and/or fat originally contained in the plant or animal item from the starting material using a first decanter centrifuge. The first decanter centrifuge is thereby leaving a residue of solids and liquids. The residue is forming the low-fat product.
