In an embodiment, an implantable heart valve for transcatheter delivery is included having a frame that includes a plurality of frame struts. The frame can define a central lumen. An outer skirt can be disposed on an abluminal surface of the frame. The outer skirt can include a flap having a first end and a second end. The first end of the flap can be fixed to the abluminal surface of the frame and the second end can be free to move away from the abluminal surface of the frame so it can form a cavity. An opening of the cavity can face toward an outlet end of the valve. Other embodiments are also included herein.

The present invention discloses a clipping system for treating tissue, comprising: an endoscope including a shaft extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end; an adapter including a proximal portion mounted over the distal end of the shaft of the endoscope and a distal portion extending distally from the proximal portion, the distal portion tapered toward a distal end thereof; a clip configured to be mounted over the distal portion of the adapter, the clip including first and second jaws, a first end of the first jaw being connected to a first end of the second jaw via a first hinge and a second end of the first jaw being connected to a second end of the second jaw via a second hinge so that the first and second jaws are movable between an insertion configuration, in which the first and second jaws are separated from one another to receive tissue therebetween, and an initial deployed configuration in which the first and second jaws are drawn toward one another to grip tissue therebetween, at least one of the first and second hinges being biased to draw the clip toward the initial deployed configuration; first and second extending members releasably coupled to the clip at distal ends thereof and movably connected to the adapter so that a longitudinal movement of the first and second extending members relative to the adapter moves the clip between the insertion configuration, the initial deployed configuration, in which the first and second jaws are moved toward one another immediately distal of the adapter, a review configuration, in which the clip is separated from a distal end of the endoscope via a distance selected so that the clip is visible via the endoscope, and a final deployed configuration, in which the clip is released from the extending member with the first and second jaws closed over tissue received therebetween; and a control element connected to proximal ends of the first and second extending members to extend proximally therefrom.

The present invention discloses medical device, in particular for carrying out an intracorporal, preferably endoluminal and/or endocavitary, vacuum therapy, comprising a first flexible tube having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, a second flexible tube having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, a first connecting element, and a second connecting element, wherein the first flexible tube is adapted to insert an endoscope into a patient's body and the second flexible tube is adapted to insert a fluid drainage device adapted to drain body fluids into a patient's body. A biopsy cap assembly, comprising: a first housing portion comprising: a first portion partially defining an upper chamber; a second portion partially defining a lower chamber; and a second housing portion comprising: a first portion partially defining the upper chamber; a second portion partially defining the lower chamber; and wherein mating surfaces of the first and second housing portions are configured to interlock to define the upper and lower chambers; and a biopsy cap disposed within the upper chamber.
