The present disclosure relates to an agricultural system (10), comprising an agricultural baler comprising a pick-up arrangement (19) for collecting plant matter, the pick-up arrangement comprising at least one roller (302, 304) for feeding crop into the baler. The baler comprises a pick-up drive shaft (310) for moving the roller (302, 304) at a desired rotational speed, wherein the pick-up drive shaft (310) is connected to the roller (302, 304) via at least one clutch (324, 340) for selectively transferring power between the pick-up drive shaft (310) and the roller (302, 304). The system further comprises a control unit (344) configured to: receive clutch-status-data indicative of an engagement status of the at least one clutch (324, 340); determine a speed-control-signal for varying the rotational speed of the pick-up drive shaft (310) on the basis of the clutch-status-data; and provide the speed-control-signal to a driveline for driving the pick-up drive shaft (310).

A crop cutting device (18) for an agricultural harvester (10) is provided comprising a crop guiding surface (40), a plurality of substantially parallel knives (42), and an actuating mechanism (50) for moving the knives (42) between a retracted inoperative position below the crop guiding surface (42) and an extended operative position wherein at least a portion of a cutting edge (43) of the knives (42) projects above the crop guiding surface (40). A plurality of movable operating members (53) is associated with respective ones of the plurality of knives (42) and movable from a first position in which the knives (42) are in the retracted inoperative position, to a second position in which the knives (42) are in the extended operative position. A support frame (54) holds the operating members (53) in a sliding relation to the support frame (54). An actuator (60) is coupled to the support frame (54) for moving the support frame (54) between an employed position and a retracted position, the employed position being closer to the knives (42) than the retracted position. The knife insert assistant (70) is coupled to the support frame (54) and configured for blocking a sliding movement of the operating members (53) relative to the support frame (54) during a movement of the support frame (54) from the retracted position to the employed position.

The link (512) is movable in a direction that is either orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to a tensioning direction (128) of the conveyor belt (126) for adjusting the tension of the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt may be an infeed conveyor belt or a lateral conveyor belt of a draper header, for example.
