A roof window (1) configured to be installed in a roof structure of a building with a roof arranged with a roof pitch which is larger than 17° is disclosed. The roof window comprises a sash (2) and a fixation frame (3), wherein the sash (2) is connected to the fixation frame (3) by means of a hinge arrangement (5). The sash (2) is a top hung sash and comprises an insulated glass unit (4). The insulated glass unit (4) comprises a first glass sheet (4a-1) comprising an inwardly facing major surface (4a) for facing the interior of the building and a second glass sheet (4b-1) comprising an outwardly facing major surface (4b) facing away from interior of the building, and wherein the insulating glass unit (4) comprises an inert gas or vacuum in a sealed insulating space (14) between the glass sheets (4a-1, 4b-1). The top hung sash (2) moreover comprises an outer weather shield (6), comprising an interior major surface (6a) and an exterior major surface (6b), wherein the outer weather shield (6) covers the sash opening and wherein an air gap (7) is provided between the interior major surface (6a) of the weather shield (6) and the outwardly facing major surface (4b) of the insulated glass unit (4). The roof window may comprise a lifting system (9), wherein a first part (9a) of the lifting system (9) comprising one or more springs (9s) which in the closed position (POS 1) extends along a longitudinal frame member (3a, 3b, 3c) of the fixation frame (3), wherein a lifting force provided by the one or more springs is/are configured to be transferred to the sash (2) when the sash is moved from the closed sash position (POS1) towards the open sash position (POS2). The weather shield (6) extends over and covers elongated parts (3a, 3b, 3c) of the fixation frame (3), and substantially covers the lifting system 9, at least when the sash (2) is arranged in the closed sash position (POS1).

A roof window is disclosed. The roof window comprises a frame (2, 7) comprising structural, elongated frame profiles (2a, 2b, 2c, 7a, 7b, 7c) comprising side profiles (2a, 7a), a top profile (2b, 7b) and a bottom profile (2c, 7c). The roof window moreover comprises an insulated glass unit (3) supported by said frame (2). The insulated glass unit (3) comprises a first exterior major surface (SI) and a second exterior major surface (S2) wherein the first and second exterior major surfaces (S1, S2) are oppositely directed. One or more of the structural elongated frame profiles (2a, 2b, 2c, 7a, 7b, 7c) is a polymer frame profile comprising- exterior polymer profile walls (4AB-4EA, 7AB-7EA), which together shapes and encloses an interior profile space (5, 12), and- metal reinforcement (6), which reinforces the polymer frame profile (2a, 2b, 2c, 7a, 7b, 7c).One or more of said exterior polymer profile walls (4AB-4EA, 7AB-7EA) comprises a skin layer (14, 14a-14c) arranged at a structural base wall (15) so as to cover the structural base wall (15). The skin layer (14, 14a-14c) provides one or more of the exterior, visible surfaces (4BCs, 4ABs, 4EAs) of the exterior polymer profile walls (4AB-4EA, 7AB-7EA).

A roof window (1), is disclosed. The roof window comprises a frame (2) comprising structural, elongated frame profiles (2a, 2b, 2c) comprising side profiles (2a), atop profile (2b) and a bottom profile (2c), and an insulating glass unit (3) supported by the frame (2). One or more of the structural elongated frame profiles (2a, 2b, 2c) is a polymer frame profile (2a, 2b, 2c) comprising - polymer profile walls (4AB-4EA), which together shape and enclose one or more longitudinally extending interior profile spaces (5), and - metal reinforcement, which reinforces the polymer frame profile (2a, 2b, 2c). The metal reinforcement comprises a plurality of discrete metal bars (6), which extend in the longitudinal direction of the polymer frame profile and which are secured to one or more of the polymer profile walls (4AB-4EA). The total weight of metal reinforcement (6) per meter of the polymer frame profile (2a, 2b, 2c) may be less than 0.7 kg, such as less than 0.5 kg, such as less than 0.3 kg. per meter frame profile (2a, 2b, 2c).

A striker plate (1) for interlocking engagement with at least one locking pawl (12). The striker plate (1) comprises a base (2) and at least one abutment element (3) protruding from the base (2) in a first direction (D1). The abutment element (3) comprises a first face (3a) defining an abutment area configured to engage the locking pawl (12). The striker plate (1) further comprises a reinforcement arrangement (4) either protruding from a second face (3b) of the abutment element (3) or being integrated with the abutment element (3) and at least partially forming the second face (3b) of the abutment element (3).

A roof window comprising a sash (1) and a frame (2) adapted for receiving the sash (1), and at least one actuator (4) comprising a push-pull chain (5) and a bracket (6). The actuator (4) pivots the sash (1) against a load (L) of the sash (1). The push-pull chain (5) bends freely in a first direction (D1) and only to a limited extent in a second opposite direction (D2). The bracket (6) provides a support point (S) for supporting the load (L) of the sash (1), the support point (S) being laterally offset so that the load (L) of the sash (1) urges the push-pull chain (5) to bend in the second opposite direction (D2). A connection pin (8) extends though an oblong first opening (9) in the bracket (6) and secures the push-pull chain (5) to the sash (1) and/or the suspension arm (3). The connection pin (8) moves in the oblong first opening (9) in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the oblong first opening (9) which is aligned with the longitudinal extent of the push-pull chain (5) .

A packed roof window, where the roof window is contained in a cardboard box, where packaging components are arranged inside the cardboard box, and where the packaging components are used for protecting and retaining components of the roof window. All packaging components are made from paper-based materials.

A roof window comprising a sash (1) and a frame (2) adapted for receiving the sash (1), the sash (1) optionally being suspended from the frame by means of suspension arms (3), each optional suspension arm (3) extending at least partially between a sash side member (1a, 1b) and a frame side member (2a, 2b). At least one actuator (4) is adapted for pivoting the sash (1) and for securing the sash (1) in a closed position. The actuator (4) comprises a push-pull chain (5) and a bracket (6), the bracket (6) being rigidly connected to the push-pull chain, and comprising a first opening (9) adapted for receiving a releasable connection pin (8). The releasable connection pin (8) releasably connects the bracket (6) to one of the side sash member (1a, 1b) and the suspension arm (3) through the first opening (9) and through at least one of a second opening (10) in the sash side member (1a, 1b) and a third opening (11) in the suspension arm (3). Locking means (12) engage a pin end (8a) and prevents the releasable connection pin (8) from being removed from the second opening (10) and/or the third opening (11).
