A valve assembly (35) for pumps (10) is described, comprising:a first chamber (45) adapted to be placed in fluid communication with an inlet duct, a second chamber (50) communicating with the first chamber (45) via a first valve seat (55), the second chamber (50) being adapted to be placed in fluid communication with an outlet duct, a first shutter body (60) housed in the second chamber (50) and movable between a closed position, in which it closes the first valve seat (55), and an open position, in which it opens the first valve seat (55), a first resilient element (65) adapted to push the first shutter body (60) towards the closed position in contrast to the pressure present in the first chamber (45), an additional chamber (175) in fluid communication with the second chamber (50) via an additional valve seat (180), an additional shutter body (C) housed in the additional chamber 175, where it is movable between a closed position, in which it closes the additional valve seat (180), and an open position, in which it opens the additional valve seat (180), an additional resilient element (185) adapted to push the additional shutter body (C) towards the closed position,wherein the additional shutter is movable, in contrast to the spring force of the additional resilient element (185), from the closed position to the open position if the pressure difference between the second chamber (50) and the additional chamber (175) is greater than a threshold value. |

A method and a plant for the manufacture of capsules (500) for the preparation of beverages are described, comprising at least the steps of: arranging a first strip (530) of a cellulose-based material, obtaining from said first strip (530) a plurality of concave capsule bodies (505), each of which defines an internal volume (515) open at a mouth (520), filling one or more of said capsule bodies (505) with a dose of an edible substance adapted to make the beverage, and sealing the mouth (520) of the filled capsule bodies (505), with a lid (510) of a cellulose-based material; wherein the step of obtaining the capsule bodies (505) provides for: engaging said first strip (530) to slide in a preset path, along which it has at least one stretched section (540), pressing said stretched section of the first strip (530) by means of a shaped mould (115) adapted to deform one or more portions of said stretched section (540), giving each of them a concave shape defining a respective capsule body (505), and separating each of said portions from the first strip (530). |
