An apparatus (1) for finishing a object (3), comprising a supporting member (15) and a mechanical cutting device, wherein the supporting member (15) delimits a through hole (19) which prevents the passage of the object (3) to be cut and allows the passage of the finished object (5) to be obtained, and wherein the mechanical cutting device comprises a first cutting member (9) movable relative to the supporting member (15) between an uncoupled configuration, and a coupled configuration, in which the first cutting member (9) is inserted in the through hole (19), the apparatus (1) being switchable from the uncoupled configuration to the coupled configuration in order to carry out, in use, a cutting operation on the object (3) along a closed line and thereby to obtain the outer annular edge (7), separating the finished object (5) from a piece of scrap (23). A method implementable with the apparatus (1) is also claimed. |
