Building panels, such as a floor panels or wall panels. The panels comprising a first mechanical locking system at respective parallel and opposite third and fourth edges (13, 14), such as long edges, configured to cooperate for horizontal and vertical locking between two adjacent building panels (10, 20), preferably by means of a folding motion. The panels further comprising a second locking system at respective parallel and opposite first and second edges (11, 12), such as short edges, configured to cooperate for horizontal and vertical locking of two adjacent building panels (10, 30). An upper edge portion of one of the third edge or fourth edge (13, 14), preferably the third edge (13), comprises a first lower lip portion (139) configured to cooperate with a first upper lip portion (149) of an upper edge portion of the other of the third and fourth edge of an adjacent panel (20) when the third and fourth edges are arranged in locking engagement.

A set of panels including a first panel (1) and a second panel (2). A first edge of the first panel and a second edge of the second are configured to be locked together and assembled by a vertical displacement (10) of the second edge relative the first edge. The first edge includes a locking element (5) configured to cooperate with a locking groove (4) at the second edge for locking in a horizontal and in the vertical direction. The first edge includes a tongue (3) configured to cooperate with a tongue groove (6) at the second edge for locking in a vertical direction. There is disclosed building panels (1, 1'), especially floor panels, provided with a locking system configured to lock adjacent edges of the building panels by angling and that comprises a tongue (10) and a strip (6) on the same edge. Horizontal locking surfaces (15) are located below a horizontal strip plane (HPS) intersecting an upper part (6a) of the strip (6) located essentially vertically under an outer part of the tongue (10).

A set of panels includes first and second panels 1, 2, and a mechanical locking device for assembly by vertical relative displacement of the panels. A locking strip 7 extends from a first edge 11 of the first panel in a direction parallel to first and second panel surfaces of the first panel. A set of panels that includes a first panel (41) and a second panel (42) is provided. The first and second panels have a first, second and third edge. The first edge (1) of the first panel (41) is configured to be able to be locked together with both the second edge (2) and the third edge of the second panel (42). The first edge includes a first locking element (4) configured to be able to cooperate with a first locking groove (5) at the second edge (2) and a second locking groove (6) at the third edge for locking in a horizontal direction. The first edge includes a tongue groove (7) configured to cooperate with a tongue (8) at the second edge (2) and a tongue (9) at the third edge for locking in a vertical direction. The first locking element includes a first locking surface configured to cooperate with a second locking surface (11) on the first locking groove (5), for locking in the horizontal and the vertical direction. The first locking element includes a third locking surface (12) which is configured to cooperate with a fourth locking surface (13) on the second locking groove (6) for locking in the horizontal direction.

The disclosure relates to a building panel (1) comprising a core (5) and a surface layer (4). The core comprises a mix of thermoplastic material (21) and fillers and the surface layer comprises a composite material comprising wood particles (20) bonded to each other by a cured thermosetting resin. The surface layer is bonded to the core by the cured thermosetting resin.

There is disclosed a panel assembly comprising a weight-reduced panel and an underlay unit (23b). A rear side (4) of the panel comprises a groove portion comprising at least one groove (10), and a remaining portion. The underlay unit is attached to the rear side of the panel by an adhesive (20) contacting at least a portion of the remaining portion and a corresponding residual portion of the underlay unit. The adhesive is applied at least on a peripheral portion of the rear side and/or on a peripheral portion of an upper side (21) of the underlay unit. The upper side comprises a cover portion and the corresponding residual portion (21b). The groove portion is separated from the peripheral portion of the rear side and/or the cover portion is separated from the peripheral portion of the upper side.
